Avenue of Flags
Thank you for your interest in the Avenue of Flags program. It is an ideal way for you to help the Optimist Club of Richfield Youth Foundation bring out the best of the Richfield’s youth. To thank you for your $45 tax-deductible contribution the foundation, the club will place a flag in front of your house or at a highly visible spot in Richfield. Your support will be recognized with a display of the American flag at your home on seven holidays. All proceeds are used to sponsor activities that “Bring out the Best in Kids!”
• Memorial Day (5/25) • Flag Day* (6/14) • 4th of July (7/4) • Labor Day* (9/7)
* Flags placed for Flag Day remain posted through Juneteenth 6/19 (6 days)
* Flags placed for Labor Day remain posted through Patriot Day (5 days)
* Flags placed on Election Day remain posted through Veteran's Day (9 days) Flags will not be placed in the event of inclement weather (may be placed before the date and retrieved the day after in case of weather).
Avenue of Flags
For $45, have a flag placed at your place of residence 7 holidays throughout the year.
The Avenue of Flags program partners with Richfield Boy Scout Troop 262 and Richfield Girl Scout Troop River Valleys. The troops place and retrieve the flags. The troops receive financial support from the Optimist Club for their troop activities.
